INTERIOR DESIGN
SICOM EXECUTIVE HEADQUARTERS,
MUMBAI
2010
PROGRAM:
4500 sq.ft. Corporate headquarters for the CEO and MD for one of the largest public sector finance corporations in India. The project was complete refurbishment for the top floor of the SICOM building for the two senior executives of SICOM, along with their secretarial staff and Boardroom / Lounge.
CONCEPT:
The project had to reflect, and in a sense, create a new corporate identity for an established semi-autonomous government enterprise; an identity that showcased a new sense of professional culture, competitive engagement and curtailed formal bureaucracy. We worked with the senior management to create a space that focused on open transparency, warmth and unpretentious comfort in all aspects of design from the overall layout to the selection of furnishings.
MATERIALS:
The material palette was extensive use of wood and glass to create a unifying spatial experience. The common areas were then clad with more robust materials such as marble flooring while the private cabins and boardroom were treated with softer materials such as carpet.
